Our philosophy

Makifood Cooking School courses reflect life philosophy and the cooking style of the founder of the school, Maki Stevenson. Simple, easy-to-cook, yet quality and healthy meals that give a little more than the usual custom recipes. Chef Maki's mission is to unite her life philosophy and cooking style with the Hungarian cuisine and to show how important and how much it determines the development of a balanced diet with quality and nutritious yet delicious meals in our everyday lives.

    10 years of experience

    Maki first started to offer cooking workshsop to her friends in 2007. After getting a lot of useful feedback and encouragement, she opened Makifood cooking school. Now open for every gastronomy and life lover with its own spacious kitchen and an ever expanding teaching staff and workshop portfolio. Despite of the increasing interest, our courses have preserved their intimate and friendly atmosphere.

    The ingredients, as far as possible, are seasonal from local and Hungarian farms with some special and exotic ingredients from the Far East and from many other far away cultures.

    Ever expanding workshop portfolio

    Developing along with the gastronomy revolution, we are always trying to compile a colorful and varied course portfolio and combine workshops – difficulty, themes, language, …etc. - so that everyone can find the most appropriate courses for him/her.

Our team - who, nevertheless, is constantly working on delivering the most up-to-date knowledge - who is responsible for the fun and friendly atmosphere.
